" About me"
Hello! My name is Sharron Cousin also known as Sharron Anderson. I was born and raised in Truckee, California. I have a ten moth old daughter, she was born on March 3rd, 2007 at 3:00am. Her name is Alexis Mari Cousin. My husband is currently in Afghanistan, he is in the US Marine Corps, he will be there for six to seven months. We met when I was in the US Army and we where both stationed in Hawaii. We were not on the same base but we met at a club right after I got back from a year and three months deployment in Kandahar, Afghanistan. We were married on November 27th, 2005. I have currently been out of the military since December 15th, 2007. I am now a stay at home mom that is attending college here at Sierra in Truckee and I spend time with my daughter throughout the day. My husband and I are happily married but because of the military living in two different parts of the world is quite hard. That is one of the downfalls of marrying someone in the military. I am taking this class because I thought it would be interesting and very informative. I really want to get a feel from a different perspective and more educated people's perspective on family's. Maybe I can learn something from this class and put it to good use. My job was a 92-y which was a Unit Supply Specialist. My rank was a Corporal, which is a rank in between specialist and Seargent. I flew around to different fire bases and supplied other soldiers with basic needs. Such as; food, water, clothing, ammunition, bathing supplies, and many other supplies. It was a great experience but, I can honestly say that I never want to do it again or visit that country ever again. Third world is a horrible place to live and I feel sorry for those who do. I am glad the USA has what it has other wise we would have a lot of conflict in our country like their's. I learned never to take things for granted and I will always remember that. I will try and teach my children that but, somethings a person needs to learn on their own, just as we all have.
I understand what its like being in a long distance relationship, its not fun at all, but once your reunited all the fun times come back :) THANK YOU TO YOU AND YOUR HUSBAND FOR PROTECTING OUR COUNTRY :)
Long distance really is a hard relationship to pull off. I know, my boyfriend lives in England. But I couldnt imagine adding on top of that strain the stress of the military.
I am currently divorced. My ex decided that he never really loved me after he got me pregnant and I got out of the military and moved to southern California for him. But currently I am loving life spending as much time with my daughter. I am going to school with what I love and getting a lot of help not only from my family but his as well. It is too bad for him that he really does not know his daughter, or has only been with her for maybe 2 months of her life, and she is 2 years old know. His excuse is the military but we all know he has leave and if he really wanted to be a dad he would take time off for her birthday or even Christmas to see her reaction opening a present.

Quite a life! Military life certainly must be challenging on marriage and family. I hope you find the class helpful and fun. Welcome!
Wow...that must be difficult to be married to someone serving Our Country. Thank you! Your baby is so cute...I want to hold her!
